Hello,

I am Urangoo Ganbold, 25 years old. Since 2012 I’ve worked in the travel industry, using my skills as an accountant to navigate the financial aspects of international tourism. As people are central to this industry I find that communication skills are of the utmost importance, and I truly employing this skills to explore the personal histories of my clientele, finding what they love, and guiding them in experience of a traditional and historic Mongolian lifestyle.

Among the nomadic activities that truly embody this are horseback riding, milking livestock, making traditional culinary treats, and keeping a detailed journal documenting the culture and beauty of my homeland. The most exciting aspect of this industry is witnessing the difference between the nomadic lifestyle and that of modern society.

Although my original occupation is finance, my interest in my heritage have opened the gateway into the past, where my country’s history has been preserved in the lives of these people. Because I want others to share in this wonderful experiences I have studied abroad. My own experiences connecting with other people from different walks of life has enriched my studies, and has given me a first-hand perspective on cross-cultural communications.

I feel a sense of pride in Mongolia’s incredible preservation of its historic lifestyle, and unique cultural celebrations, holidays and the ingenuity of nomadic day-to-day activities. It is my hope that people from all over the world, who live their lives in the hustle and bustle of modern society, may share in the natural wonder and tranquility of life far removed from the blare of city lights and grumble of traffic.

I especially recommend it to those people searching for adventure and an unforgettable experience. My own favorite event is traveling by horseback across snow dusted steppes to visit the quiet and elegant reindeer herders to the north of Mongolia. I recommend visiting Mongolia to everyone because I know they will each find in their travels something beautiful and rare.
